The Role
This challenging role will see you become an integral part of the Mechanical maintenance team responsible for coordinating the return to service of equipment that has failed or is not operating to full capacity. The role covers mechanical aspects of Grinding & Flotation circuits, Fill Plants, Concentrate Filters, Surface Ventilation & refrigeration plants, tailing thickeners & site process water. This is a residential role in Mount Isa, requiring you to work a 7/7 dayshift only roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Leading the shift trade crew and maintenance team on weekends Coordinating & prioritising the return to service of failed equipment Implementing the work order process as per work management system for reactive maintenance tasks Ensuring correctives are raised within the work management system to prevent reoccurrence of the issue Working closely with Supervisor, Area Tech officers & reliability engineers to highlight ongoing or emerging risks to plant After hours on-call for the block You will have the following skillset and attributes: Australian Manual Driver's Licence Trade qualified Fitter or Boilermaker Minimum 5 years' post trade experience. Previous supervisory experience will be considered an advantage Safety as a core belief with a solution seeking attitude The ability to lead by example and a strong work ethic A minimum of 3 years working in the mining industry Technical knowledge and organisational skills that will enable you to succeed in a demanding yet rewarding team environment The ability to think logically to solve problems and create value Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills along with a professional work standard.
