In this role, you will be a valued member of the Metallurgy Project team and aid in further building a safe, productive and effective workplace where teams are empowered and supported to achieve business objectives. The key relationships of this role will be with Processing Operations, Technical and Maintenance personnel. One of the primary business requirements will be to resolve technical and operational issues that are limiting the current grade-recovery position under the existing process flow sheet. This position will be offered on an 8/6 or a 5/2/4/3-day shift roster.

The Role
The main outcomes of this role will be to maintain effective project management, key stakeholder engagement, manage relevant R&D projects, develop and demonstrate a sound understanding of technical aspects, applying process understanding to identify technical and operational issues and complete medium scale projects to deliver cost savings, increased revenue and product quality.
To succeed in this role, you will possess a degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing and a minimum of 3 years of experience with a strong background in base metal operations including grinding, flotation and dewatering, project management and process improvements. You will have an uncompromising focus on safety, strong attention to detail in problem solving and troubleshooting as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple stakeholders and disciplines. You will be an excellent team player, have a can-do attitude and be willing to take on challenges. An intermediate level of computer skills in Microsoft Suite is essential and previous experience with ERP software and OSI Soft PI would be highly regarded.
