Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, the Health Officer is an integral member of the Health, Safety and Training (HST) Team.Responsibilities of the role include:Maintain and continuously improve the USO Health Control PlanProvide support and advice to departments in relation to health and occupational hygiene mattersCoordinate injury management and rehabilitation programsReview and update the Health Risk Assessment and other topic specific Risk AssessmentsDevelop and implement health promotion activities onsiteCoordinate pre-employment and periodic medicals including reviewsMaintain the occupational hygiene similar exposure group monitoring programMonitor compliance with health and hygiene requirements, identify improvements, and implement treatment plans that address identified shortfalls to ensure compliance with legislation and the WHS Management SystemTo be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health or a related disciplineGoal-oriented with strong communication and people skillsAbility to coordinate and schedule management plans and programsAbility to apply a treatment plan and drive continuous improvement in your area of influenceIn return, here are some of the benefits we offer:Regional AllowanceRelocation Assistance for eligible candidatesRemote Area Housing AssistanceEducation AssistanceAnnual Performance BonusAbout Ulan Surface Operations:Ulan Surface Operations is part of the Ulan Complex and supports two highly productive Underground Mines, Ulan West and Ulan Underground.
