The Role We are seeking a passionate and motivated person with experience in Risk Management for the role of Risk Advisor within the Smelting and Processing area at Mount Isa Mines. Reporting to the Superintendent Safety and Risk, you will provide expert risk and assurance assistance across our Glencore Queensland Metals smelting and processing operations.
Your key responsibilities include: Providing specialist advice to operational teams for Processing, Smelting, and HSEC on risk identification and control management. Reviewing and facilitating risk assessments, risk management plans, and risk reports. Facilitating and reviewing departmental risk registers. Assisting in the management of Major Hazard Facilities. Reviewing, developing, and implementing critical control performance standards and verification activities. Participation in audits, tracking audit actions, and reporting on audit action progress. The successful applicants will have: Qualifications in process safety, workplace health and safety, and/or risk management. Experience developing bowties/risk registers and critical control management processes (ICMM methodology highly regarded). Three years' experience in workplace health and safety and/or risk management (mining industry experience highly regarded). Experience in ISO 31000 Risk Management application.
