The Role We are looking for a passionate and motivated person with experience in Risk Management to join us in the role of Risk Advisor within the Smelting and Processing area at Mount Isa Mines.
Reporting to the Superintendent Safety and Risk, you will provide expert risk and assurance assistance across our Glencore Queensland Metals smelting and processing operations. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa and has roster options that promote a healthy work-life balance.
Your key responsibilities include: Providing specialist advice to the operational teams for Processing, Smelting and HSEC on risk identification and control management. Reviewing and facilitating risk assessments, risk management plans and risk reports. Facilitation and review of departmental risk registers. Assisting in the management of Major Hazard Facilities. Reviewing, developing and implementing critical control performance standards and verification activities. Participation in audits, tracking of audit actions and reporting of audit action progress. The successful applicants will have: Qualifications in process safety, workplace health and safety and/or risk management. Experience developing bowties/risk registers and critical control management processes (ICMM methodology highly regarded). Three years' experience in workplace health and safety and/or risk management (mining industry experience highly regarded). Experience in ISO 31000 Risk Management application.
