For over three decades, Gladstone Women's Health Centre (GWHC) has been a pillar of support and empowerment for women in the Gladstone and Banana Shire regions.
As a not-for-profit organisation, GWHC is committed to advancing health, safety, equality, and wellbeing through accessible support, advocacy, education, and transformative social change initiatives.

GWHC offers a wide range of vital services, including:
Free counselling for women, young adults, and children affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and wellbeing challenges.
Educational programs and workshops to build skills, confidence, and awareness.
Violence prevention services and high-risk safety interventions.
Court support and referrals to empower women navigating complex systems.
Guided by a dedicated Board, GWHC fosters a collaborative, inclusive culture and champions equity in the community.

The Opportunity
This is your chance to lead this important and respected organisation as Chief Executive Officer and drive the continuation of its growth journey.
Reporting directly to the Board, you will:
Provide strategic leadership to advance GWHC's mission, drive sustainable growth, and inspire a high-performing team.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of critical services and programs.
Build meaningful relationships with funders, community stakeholders, and government bodies to secure long-term financial sustainability.
Advocate for women's health, safety, and equality, acting as the face of the organisation in community and stakeholder engagement.
Champion organisational resilience and adaptability through strategic planning and effective change management.
This full-time role is based in Gladstone, a dynamic regional city offering a balance of professional opportunity and lifestyle appeal.

About You
You are a visionary leader with a proven track record in executive management, ideally within non-profit, health, or community sectors.
Your skills and experience include:
Strong leadership capabilities, with experience fostering inclusive and high-performing workplace cultures.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, grant writing, and resource management expertise.
A deep understanding of women's health, safety, and gender equality issues.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and community collaboration skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, health, social sciences, or a related field.
Experience leading growth and organisational change with a hands-on and adaptable approach.
Your Reward
