Seeking a skilled GIS Administrator Engineer to manage and maintain our spatial data infrastructure. This role involves overseeing spatial datasets, performing spatial analysis, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our GIS systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ESRI ArcGIS products, spatial data management, and experience with SDE geodatabase administration.
Qualifications: Proven experience (5+ years) as a GIS Specialist or similar role with proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise).Strong knowledge of spatial data management, geoprocessing techniques, and spatial analysis methodologies.Experience with FME software for data integration and automation and creating workflows for spatial data processing.Familiarity with ESRI Geoprocessing Services, Map Services, and web mapping technologies.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field; GIS-related certifications (e.g., Esri Technical Certification) preferred.Technical Skills: General experience with Python and cx_Oracle library experience.Knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, Git/SVN.Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Products: Proficient in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.Spatial Data Management: Strong understanding of spatial data management and geoprocessing techniques.FME Software: Experience with FME for data integration, automation, and creating data pipelines.Configure and maintain ArcGIS Server, including the setup and management of Web Adaptor, Map Services, Geoprocessing Services, user roles, and security settings. Ensure efficient performance through Map Service Caching and implement best practices for service security and access control.Geoprocessing Services: Familiar with ESRI Geoprocessing Services.Coding Skills: Competent in Python scripting for automation and data processing.Web Mapping Technologies: Experience in developing interactive web maps and dashboards using ESRI technologies.Spatial Data in Relational Databases: Experience with spatial data stored in relational database formats (SDE) preferably Oracle Database.Cultural Requirements: Outcome-driven approach with a focus on achieving significant returns on time invested.Product-led mindset with a focus on solving customer problems effectively.Growth mindset with a positive attitude and focus on continuous improvement.Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to focus on high-impact tasks.Strong team player with superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
