The Opportunity: DT Infrastructure, a leading Australian provider of engineering and construction services, and Alstom, global leader in smart sustainable mobility solutions, have been awarded an AUD$1.6B contract by the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) for the design, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of high capacity signalling technology for Perth's suburban rail network.
We are looking for a talented GIS Coordinator to join our high-performing Digital team.
In this role, you will be responsible for spatial data management, GIS analysis, and the creation of new spatial content throughout the construction lifecycle.
This position offers the opportunity to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects and lead a team, leveraging your broader digital engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities: Implement GIS applications tailored to project requirements and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Collect, review and coordinate the maintenance of GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
As the primary contact for GIS, collaborate with project teams to integrate GIS data into digital engineering workflows and coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to acquire and share GIS data.
Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders on GIS tools and applications.
Coordinate with the project team to develop spatial analysis and generate maps and reports to support project decision-making.
Stay updated on the latest GIS technologies and best practices to continuously enhance GIS capabilities.
About You: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent – IT, software engineering, computing, electrical, instrumentation and control disciplines preferred but not essential.
Proven experience in GIS application development and data management.
Ability to manage and coordinate with the Digital Engineering team and the project team to deliver on the project and business strategies Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and preferrable working knowledge of ArcGIS Server, C#, ArcObjects, Python, HTML and JavaScript.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with digital engineering projects is a plus.
