About the role The GIS and Asset System Administrator is responsible for managing Barwon Water's Asset Management Information System (AMIS) and delivering reliable GIS services to support strategic objectives in asset management, customer service, and environmental stewardship. This role ensures optimal system performance through effective administration, troubleshooting, and regular platform updates. You will integrate GIS with enterprise systems such as Maximo and Tech One, enhancing data accessibility and improving operational efficiency across the organisation.
As a key contributor to Barwon Water's strategic vision, you will identify opportunities for system enhancements, stay current with industry advancements, and drive innovation through automation and workflow improvements. By developing scripts, refining processes, and managing small-scale GIS projects, you will enhance asset visibility, streamline operations, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Your technical expertise is constantly put to the test, leveraging extensive experience with GIS platforms and asset management systems. You have a proven background in system administration and integration, working with tools such as ESRI, Maximo, Munsys, and QGIS.
