The roles
Following our continued growth and success winning and positioning ourselves to deliver current and future major infrastructure projects across Australia, we have a number of GIS positions available to join our Brisbane team and assist on major projects in QLD and across ANZ.
You will play a key and growing role in the delivery of SMEC's professional services across all parts of the business. Tasks include assisting in map and graphics production, spatial data management, and development and promotion of GIS within the business.
GIS Analyst or Graduate (Brisbane):
1-5 years professional experience in a similar GIS role
Proficiency with GIS software, preferably ESRI (ArcGIS, MapInfo Professional)
Experience working on major projects in a similar role, preferably in the transport and infrastructure sector
Experience with assisting in map and graphics production as well as spatial data management
Degree qualified in GIS, Engineering or similar discipline
Senior GIS Analyst (Brisbane):
8+ years professional experience in a similar GIS role
Strong proficiency with GIS software, preferably ESRI (ArcGIS, MapInfo Professional)
Extensive experience with assisting in map and graphics production as well as spatial data management
Proven ability to provide support and mentoring to users of ArcGIS, MapInfo Professional and other packages
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently with both internal and external stakeholders
Degree qualified in GIS, Engineering or similar discipline
