We're a passionate bunch of GIS professionals and we're always looking to up our game. We love being at the forefront of innovative technology and data management practices. Our team is currently upskilling in remote sensing, digital transformation, UAV projects for mapping, analysis, and the creation of digital twins.

We can't tell you about a typical day because every day is different, but here's what the team find themselves working on:
We work on a diverse range of big and small projects related to renewable energy, mining and environmental strategy. These projects stretch across niche technical areas such as climate analysis, ecology, noise and vibration impact studies, heritage, social surrounds, water engineering, and 3D visual analysis. We serve a range of clients, from big global businesses to smaller private firms, startups, and federal agencies. The chance to be client-facing with direct interaction with key clients. We get the opportunity to pair our knowledge, skills, and interests with projects that play to this, like becoming drone pilots, building digital platforms for clients, and using coding to create efficient workflows. We use our spatial, design, and storytelling skills to help stakeholders understand and appreciate complex concepts, relationships, and opportunities. We use a full spectrum of GIS skills to guide and inform our tech teams and support our fellow spatial team members in setting up a complete GIS enterprise. We collaborate with leaders who are truly present and excited to help you to grow. We have the autonomy and flexibility to work the way that works best for us and with the support we need to balance our interests and priorities beyond work. Here's what you'll bring to have an impact A passion for all things spatial: geospatial data, web-mapping, cartography, and more GIS experience, including the use of Esri products, gained within a consulting business Previous experience accessing and using South Australia GIS datasets A degree in geography, environmental science, or a related discipline Experience in delivering to deadlines and within agreed budgets Previous experience, or desire, to be client-facing An ability to manage your own time and priorities and balance your individual need with assisting the team to achieve the bigger picture A focus on relationships, collaboration, and dedication to client and team At EMM Consulting our purpose is to create opportunities for our people, our clients, and our communities, and our vision is to be the leading Australian consultancy for the natural and built environment.
