The role involves managing operations within the Inclusive Education facility, ensuring smooth programming and equitable access to educational activities and programs. This includes overseeing the coordination and allocation of Student Support Officers (SSO) to provide tailored assistance to students in the Senior School and contributing through a teaching allocation within Inclusive Education.
The primary focus is on working with adolescents, collaborating closely with staff to foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment. To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess specific qualifications in Inclusive Education or a closely related field, along with extensive experience working with students requiring additional support. This expertise is essential for implementing and maintaining robust support systems that meet the diverse needs of students in an accessible and inclusive learning setting.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Current teacher registration Relevant post-secondary qualifications such as a degree within youth work, social work, occupational therapy, education, welfare, disability services and/or equivalent relevant experience in Inclusive Education Experience in managing disability and support services, ideally within an educational environment Previous supervisory and/or coordination experience in providing support services to adolescents and young people (educational, welfare, wellbeing etc.) Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective relationships with people with disabilities A proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients (such as teachers, support staff, students, parents, and members of the school community) Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate programmes and continually review programme outcomes. An awareness and understanding of legislative obligations of schools regarding disability and the NCCD.
