Structured as a matrix organization of six geographical regions and ten platforms, Louis Dreyfus Company is active in over 100 countries and employs approximately 17,000 people globally.Job DescriptionThe Louis Dreyfus Company Group is currently recruiting for a full-time Gin Site Manager for our new site in Katherine, NT. This position has full accountability for the management, planning, organizing, and safe operation of the cotton gin. All maintenance and ginning staff, both permanent and casual, working in the area of responsibility will report to the Gin Manager. Travel to other sites will be required.Key Responsibilities:Gin operation and safetyMonitor and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure continuity of production and qualityManage seasonal daily gin throughputKRA reportingEnsure work permits are completed for all high-risk activityMaintain the physical appearance of the gin siteManage, develop, and lead employeesSkills and Experience:Demonstrated relevant experienceAbility to identify/control weaknesses in process and implement best practicesMechanical, maintenance, and/or electrical knowledgePrior experience managing staff in a maintenance/production environmentSound computer skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and develop solutions for challenges when requiredStrong work ethicDemonstrated leadership capabilityAbility and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and third partiesExcellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracyDiversity & InclusionLDC is driven by a set of shared values and high ethical standards, with diversity and inclusion being part of our DNA.
