How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
Leading a team of Systems Engineers
Coordinating with the Product Heads to release System Level design artifacts to the Engineering Departments
Conducting impact assessments and facilitating Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) produced by the Configuration Control Board (CCB)
Auditing Systems Engineering reviews produced by the Engineering Departments to ensure high quality standards are met and to collate into updated System Level design artifacts
Supporting the Product Heads in ensuring that program objectives are on-schedule and on budget
Supporting the development of Engineering Management Processes and Tools
Ensuring that engineering activities are conducted and documented in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and procedure
Other duties as requested by Management
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a relevant qualification
Junior Lead: 2+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)
Senior Lead: 5+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)
Senior Lead: Maintains or is eligible for CPENG and RPEQ
In-depth understanding of Traditional and Modern Systems Engineering practices
Proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Demonstrated resilience in high-stress situations
NV1 Security Clearance eligible
Compliance with the Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Formal Systems Engineering Training
2+ years of design engineering experience
5+ years of System Engineering experience
5+ years working in the aerospace industry
Familiarity with the principles of Model Based Systems Engineering
Familiarity with modern web-based PLM and MRP Software solutions
In-depth experience with industry standard Systems Engineering Standards (Nasa Systems Engineering Handbook, ECSS, INCOSE, SEBoK, etc.)
Understanding of Web Development fundamentals
