As a growing boutique firm, we are seeking an experienced commercial lawyer with a passion for mentoring, leadership, and client development to join our Sydney team.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Principal Lawyer while managing your own matters and assisting our growing client base. You'll play a vital role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the team's overall success. While working independently in Sydney, you'll stay connected daily with our Brisbane-based team and contribute to the firm's continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team to handle corporate and transactional matters.
Provide accurate and thorough legal advice to clients.
Draft and review commercial, corporate, technology infrastructure and construction contracts.
Work unsupervised on corporate/M&A transactions.
Assist in developing and expanding the Sydney client base.
Strategically support and work alongside the Principal Lawyer.
Mentor and support junior lawyers to help them grow and thrive.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience in construction and transactional (M&A and Asset Sale) matters is required.
Technology experience highly regarded.
Expertise in drafting and reviewing commercial or construction contracts.
Solid understanding of legal compliance and corporate issues.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree.
Minimum of 4 years PQE with admission to practice law in New South Wales.
