Purpose of the Position
GHS has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Company Accountant in our Perth Office, responsible for the accuracy of financial data (actuals, forecast and budget), credit control, tax compliance, superannuation compliance, monitoring and financial reporting back to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Credit control process, from credit applications to collections. Produce daily exception reports for the General Manager. Financial maintenance of GHS entities including full balance sheet/account reconciliation process, tax effect accounting, debtor/creditor control and integrity reviews. Weekly and monthly payroll for the business including reconciliation, tax office reporting. Coordination and compilation of daily, weekly, monthly reports required by GHS. Coordination of month end, quarter end and year end reporting processes ensuring deadlines are met. Preparation of taxation, GST, Payroll Tax and Superannuation returns. Production of financial statements for all entities. Coordination of monthly and annual actual, forecasting & budget data for earnings, cash, capex and key expenditure. Variance analysis and identification of key business trends; make recommendations for improvements in business efficiency. Assist the Executive Management Team to establish and maintain systems for measuring critical aspects of the operations. Interpretation and analysis of financial results. Ad hoc reporting and information requests; assist in the coordination of the external accountant, auditors and taxation advisor services. To act with integrity, honesty and ethically at all times. A degree level qualification in accounting/commerce is essential. Proven track record in compliance accounting, in budgeting and internal management reporting. Demonstrated knowledge of the preparation of financial statements, budgeting & forecasting principles and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of Excel including experience in establishing and maintaining complex spreadsheets. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must possess high standard evaluation and review skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be a team player.
