In this role, you'll: Work as a Geotechnical Scientist within the Pavements & Geotechnical Services unit of Transport for NSW's Infrastructure & Place Division. Reporting to the Pavements and Geotechnical Manager, you'll conduct investigations, analyses, and provide advice specifically on pavements, geotechnical, and materials aspects for infrastructure projects. You'll support projects, provide technical services, participate in multi-function teams, and manage geotechnical risk by developing standards and practices. Adaptability across multiple work streams is essential.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Wagga Wagga.
About you You hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or a related discipline and are eager to work in Wagga Wagga. Essential to this role is substantial experience with pavements and geotechnical/site investigations for infrastructure projects, particularly in pavement rehabilitation. You excel in preparing detailed geotechnical reports, providing specialist advice, and effectively managing technical risk, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry standards.
You can plan and lead geotechnical investigations in various conditions and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of WHS and environmental requirements for geotechnical fieldwork is crucial.
