JDK Geotech (JDK) is actively seeking to build our Rock Engineering Team in NSW to help deliver recently awarded project scope. JDK Geotech (JDK) is an established engineering consultancy specialising in technical services delivery and project management advice for large-scale infrastructure, transportation, and mining projects across Australia.
The team of consultants is comprised of a range of professionals with various technical backgrounds. Operating with industry experts on major (> $2 Billion) Projects, JDK is drawn to working alongside innovative and driven professionals that stay ahead of the game in the work they do.
The candidates will form part of JDK's established technical team to help deliver technical services to various infrastructure, tunnelling, and mining projects in Sydney and NSW from our Pyrmont Office.

Key Responsibilities Review geotechnical information for input in geotechnical design.Design, review, and implementation of Hazard Plans, Permit to Drill & Mine, and Permits to Mine.Provide daily geological advice related to the mine's current and future plans.Slope stability assessments, 3D modelling, and underground stability review.Assess, audit, and facilitate the assessment of existing and new underground critical areas.Manage geotechnical risk with reference to relevant Mining Acts and Regulations.Perform stability analysis of UG excavations using accepted industry practices, and where needed of slopes in open pits.Facilitate internal and external audits and inspections for technical services department.Optimising ground support policies for underground development to manage the ground conditions in a cost-efficient and practical manner.Improve selective mining processes via a reduction in stope over break and dilution. Safety focused mindset.About You White Card.Tertiary qualification in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or Mining Engineering.Minimum one year of tunnelling or underground mining experience. Any coal mining experience is looked upon favourably.Clear communicator and open personality.Experience using Geotechnical & Mining Software, and Mine Planning Systems - including LeapFrog, Minex, Plaxis, RocScience suite, and Map3D.Experience in mine production and development operations.Strong analytical skills and understanding of statutory requirements for NSW mines.Send expression of interest and attach resume to ******.
