Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.Job DescriptionThe OpportunityAs a Senior Geotechnical Site Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and inspecting geotechnical aspects of projects, ensuring quality and compliance with technical and regulatory standards. This position requires extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to deliver quality and safe outcomes.Key responsibilities:Perform site inspections for geotechnical elements such as battered slopes, pile foundations, ground anchors, retaining walls, and earthworks.Assess ground conditions to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements, focusing on stability, foundation integrity, and erosion control.Monitor and evaluate site activities, ensuring construction follows geotechnical design plans and identifying any potential issues with ground stability or geotechnical hazards.Document findings from site inspections, including photographs, sketches, and reports, to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.Assist in the implementation of corrective actions based on site inspection findings to mitigate geotechnical risks.Perform the write-ups of memorandums, technical notes, documents, and forms related to site inspection activities.Discuss findings and site conditions with the construction team to ensure alignment and understanding of geotechnical requirements.Prepare non-conformance reports and assist in developing corrective measures for geotechnical issues observed on-site.Required Skills and CompetenciesBachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Strong experience in geotechnical site inspection, particularly within the infrastructure or construction sector.Extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and construction methods.Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023 & 2024 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
