DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Geotechnical Engineer, you will provide expert advice to clients while remaining hands-on with project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Undertaking and supervising field geotechnical investigations, borehole logging, and field testingConducting construction inspections, including bulk earthworks, basements, piling, and working platformsPerforming geotechnical analyses and preparing technical reportsEngineering reporting on geotechnical factual data, interpretive analyses, pavement design, and temporary works designConducting site visits and providing on-site training and mentoringManaging small to mid-scale geotechnical projects and preparing proposalsOffering sound geotechnical advice to support the businessCollaborating closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Required Skills and QualificationsTertiary qualification in Geotechnical/ Civil Engineering3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineeringFlexibility to work both in the office and in the fieldExperience in geotechnical design, investigations, inspections, and reportingStrong analytical skills to interpret geotechnical data and make informed recommendationsFamiliarity with geotechnical testing methods and laboratory equipment is beneficialProactive attitude with a desire to be a key team member in a growing businessTeam-oriented with the ability to successfully interact with individuals across various industry rolesAdvanced skills in report writing and verbal/written communicationWork EnvironmentGeotechnical engineers at Rose Testing can expect a mix of office work and site visits, which may involve travel to various project locations. The role may require working outdoors in different weather conditions and managing the physical demands of site inspections/investigations.
