Our Client, a world leading Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer based in the Pilbara is currently seeking a dynamic Geotechnical Engineer - Core Logger to join their Geotechnical Data Acquisition Team on an 8/6 roster, days only, FIFO Perth.
This is a 6 month contract role with the possibility of an extension for the right person.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Geotechnical Engineer who will be part of our Tier One client's Geotechnical Data Acquisition Team, responsible for collecting, analysing, and communicating high quality geotechnical input parameters for use in geotechnical models.

Reporting to the Superintendent Geotechnical Engineer while working in a challenging and exciting environment.
To be successful you will need to work closely with many internal and external stakeholders (including Resource Development and Operations).

Responsibilities and DutiesProvide geotechnical core logging supportAnalyse, validate, and interpret geotechnical datasets collected during field programs.Ensure accurate and timely geotechnical diamond core logging data collection, validation and televiewer picking utilising RTIO geotechnical and geology standards and systems.Assist with program planning and execution of drilling.Liaise with team members and stakeholders on drilling priorities. Skills and ExperienceRelevant Tertiary Qualification (Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or Geology) Preferred.Preferably have worked with Diamond Core in the pastKnowledge of Geotechnical Logging Methodology is essentialStrong team playerExcellent communication skills and drive for continuous improvementA Strong safety mindsetIron Ore experience and knowledgeable in Pilbara Geology is preferred but not compulsoryCurrent WA Manual "C Class" Australian Licence (minimum)1 to 2 years Core Logging experienceProficient with Acquire, SurpacExperienced with Down Hole SurveysAble to work independently and as part of a team with people from diverse cultural backgroundsExperience in the resource industry preferableOil & gas or civil background will be considered (crossover) If you meet these requirements and are ready to take on a career progressing Geotechnical/Core Logger role we encourage you to apply.
