We are seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst to design and develop data-driven strategies and analytical solutions that support our product and service propositions at RACQ.
This position plays a key role in partnering with various business areas across RACQ to identify opportunities for data-driven insights, particularly in climate and geospatial data, to help meet key performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with RACQ business units to identify opportunities to leverage data, particularly geospatial, natural hazards, environmental risks in Australia.Evaluating the impacts of contemporary climate and environmental research on RACQ.Agile Solution Delivery: Deliver analytic solutions using an agile methodology, focusing on incremental value and strong business collaboration.Data Analysis & Mapping: Produce descriptive and diagnostic analytic solutions, with a particular focus on high-quality mapping and cartographic artefacts for business units.Predictive Analytics: Develop predictive analytic solutions to optimise pricing strategies.About you: Minimum of a University degree in a relevant discipline.3-5 years of relevant experience in geospatial analytics, cartography, and GIS.Extensive experience in planning, developing and conducting geospatial analysis.Extensive experience and proficiency in the use of GIS tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, QGIS, or equivalent including extensions/add-ins and plugins.Extensive experience and proficiency with databases, geodatabases, and SQL.Proficiency and demonstrated experience in web mapping and developing web services (mainly in ArcGIS) including an extensive understanding of the ArcGIS Web mapping and data infrastructure.Proficiency and extensive experience in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, GeoServer, Leaflet, or other similar products.Expertise in automation scripting including automated data ingestion, using ArcGIS model builder, spatial modeller, FME Data interoperability (ETL), or Python.Experience in ArcGIS software and platform upgrades.Experience in the use of cloud services such as AWS/ Azure.High-level computer literacy with strong internal consulting skills.Well-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.You'll be part of an organisation that values innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
