We have an excellent career opportunity within our Sustainable Waste Management team for a Principal Consultant to join our team in the Brisbane office.
You will work closely within the senior team to ensure the delivery of quality environments outcomes, practical waste, resource recovery and recycling solutions and other advisory services to our internal and external clients.
Our riverside Brisbane office is modern, vibrant and will offer you the chance to collaborate with a wide range of Engineering & Scientific professionals across our 23 Disciplines.

Key Responsibilities: You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and have the ability to do the following: Leading the provision of technical inputs to waste management and resource recovery strategy for private industry and local, state and country governments Leading and providing specialist technical input to due diligence assessments in the fields of environmental, market, feedstock and technology due diligence Leading data analysis and review of complex datasets Leading and providing specialist input to feasibility studies, business case development, strategic waste and recycling infrastructure planning across the private and government sectors Delivery of waste management plans and associated documentation for developments Delivery of high-quality documents that support the planning and approvals process Delivery of high-quality documents associated with waste facility master planning Project managing small to medium projects to produce high quality strategy, market assessment, technology and other advisory documentation Preparing quality reports for internal and external clients on time and within set budget Providing advice and assistance to internal and external clients, team members and Project Managers on projects regarding best principles and practices Contributing to winning work by developing proposals, identifying and converting opportunities and drawing on your client relationships Administrative and financial management tasks including budget preparation and providing accurate and timely responses to requests as required by project demands and timelines Experience: As a positive and engaging candidate you will also display the following: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science or a related field 12-15+ years' practical experience in the field of Waste and Resource Recovery/Recycling management with significant demonstrated skills in the areas of waste data analysis, strategy, due diligence, market assessments, report writing and environmental assessments Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines with particular weight put on knowledge in Queensland Strong capabilities in waste advisory Strong diligence in project delivery and attention to detail.
