Our team The Enabling Services branch deliver core corporate functions across Geoscience Australia, which include communications, cyber security, finance and facilities, governance and human resources (HR). Our success is driven by a professional and trusted partnership that connects our expertise with our stakeholders.
Our team of HR professionals provide services designed to support our people, across functions such as recruitment and development, safety and wellbeing, workplace relations, culture and engagement and workforce data and planning.
The role In this role you will:
Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers with regard to performance and conduct issues, providing assistance and support to ensure effective and efficient resolution of matters. Holistic management of complex people management cases, working closely with employees and managers, providing end to end support in managing performance, code of conduct and other employment matters in accordance with relevant legislation and policy/procedure. Coordinate the Performance Development Plan process, providing operational and strategic support across the organisation. Building capability for supervisors and managers through the development and implementation of people management projects, strategies and initiatives to coach and enable managers to achieve appropriate organisational outcomes. Draft briefing papers, correspondence and other communications as required, and contribute to the development of operational procedures and business improvements. Assist in strategic planning and policy development for the broader Corporate Division. Build and manage productive and effective partnerships that engage both internal and external stakeholders and partner agencies. Support the delivery of key projects aligned with our annual HR work plan. Maintain timely, consistent and accurate records. Required skills, knowledge, experience and/or qualifications Relevant HR qualifications and/or experience in case management, performance and conduct are highly desirable, but not essential.
