Our Team Working in the Digital Earth team within Space Division is an opportunity to help solve some of Australia's biggest challenges. Digital Earth programs create free and open satellite data products for the benefit of Australia and the region.
The role The Director Digital Earth Data and Systems leads a dedicated team of ICT and geospatial professionals to deliver and sustain high value Earth observation data workflows. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by architecting, building, and optimizing solutions that make vast datasets accessible and useful to a wide range of users.
In this role you will: Build and lead an inclusive, high-performing and integrated multi-disciplinary technical team. Oversee new technology decisions to ensure comprehensive integration and purpose-driven results for all stakeholders. Provide leadership and management in the coordination of project activities, including support to strategic planning and governance functions. Deliver a broad array of ICT infrastructures, open-source software, complex workflows and big data in a collaborative environment. Represent Digital Earth, Geoscience Australia and the Australian Government in international fora and partnerships. Build and sustain long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work collaboratively with peers across the organisation to support Geoscience Australia's Senior and Executive leadership. About you Have a strong record of successfully leading and managing complex ICT environments. Proactively identify, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Understand the strategic environment linking project outcomes to the mission and organisational goals. Demonstrate exceptional leadership through guiding, mentoring and developing your team.
