Georgiou is seeking candidates who are passionate about the construction industry and are looking for a career in the Environmental and Sustainability aspects of a Construction project. Prequalification requires candidates with:
Tertiary education in Environmental and Sustainability Science. Civil Engineering qualification with a passion for Environmental and Sustainability aspects of a construction project (welcome). Experience required from graduation with 0 years' experience up to 3 years in the field. In this role you will be exposed to all aspects of a Construction project from engineering, Environmental requirements, and Sustainability inputs and development. This is an exciting opportunity to join and contribute to growing a proactive environmental and sustainability engineering team and culture within Georgiou.
What we are seeking: Minimum 0-3 years of relevant Engineering, Environmental and Sustainability aspects in construction experience. Involved in the delivery of an Infrastructure Sustainability Council Design and/or As Built Rating (highly desirable). Tertiary education in Environmental Science, Sustainability or Engineering equivalent. Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (highly desirable). Knowledge & understanding of Commonwealth, State, Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards. Specialist working knowledge in a key sustainability aspect such as energy and emissions, heritage, workforce sustainability, water, sustainable procurement, circular economy (highly desirable). Knowledge & understanding of environmental monitoring - noise, dust, vibration, and water. Knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements and licence approval process. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Proficient in data compilation and analytics. Strong written and verbal communication skills. What to expect in this role: Liaise with project teams. Manage onsite environmental systems. Develop environmental/sustainability reporting systems (project based). Coordinate Sustainability Project Objectives. Develop and update system to accommodate sustainability rating assessment requirements (project based). Conduct sustainability reviews. Consult and communicate environmental and sustainability issues and information with stakeholders. Coordinate & Communicate Sustainability learnings and knowledge. Liaise with sustainability governing bodies (ISC).
