The role Our Geological Survey and Resource Strategy Division (GSRSD) facilitates investment through the provision of geoscience data and products.
In particular, the division manages the Abandoned Mines Team and Exploration Incentive Scheme and supports the approval of mining tenements and petroleum titles.
As a Geologist Database Administrator, you will undertake a wide spectrum of data management, design, and analysis as well as reporting functions to support project teams.
A typical day could consist of data entry validation, providing expertise and experience, applying knowledge to improve processes related to geo scientific data capture, and performing data curation functions for geoscience databases (for example data ingestion and cleansing) amongst other key duties.
In this role, you will be contributing to the amazing work our Resource and Environmental Regulation Group does!

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
