This role requires occasional field-based work to undertake spatial and data analysis that supports the ongoing maintenance and upgrades of our GIS platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesCapture and upload data to a range of asset management systems and processes.Provide technical support in the management, design and development of GIS infrastructure to support the use of web, desktop and mobile GIS applications.Assist in the development of specialist map production and spatial analysis.Provide technical advice to our project managers to ensure adequate use and capture of spatial data during project delivery.Participate in the development and revision of policies and procedures by providing technical advice and support derived through investigative and analytical research and reviews.Geographic ServicesOur team provides the following services that you will be involved in:
Create, edit and/or remove assets.GIS Maps and Widgets (i.e.
Trace Widget used to determine shut off-valves and view impacted customers).Dial Before You Dig.Build Over Easement Applications.Flushing plans for our operations teams.Aerial Imagery / Lidar Mapping for planning and development.For further detail on the role, please refer to the position description below. Experience using GIS software (preferably ESRI suite - ArcGIS Pro & Enterprise).Experience collecting data with the ability to gather geographic data from various sources including maps, satellite imagery, and field surveys.Ability to maintain and update GIS databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.Ability to edit and/or modify spatial and attribute features.Knowledge and experience in the geospatial industry, preferably in relation to assets.We're committed to creating a comfortable and inclusive environment for all candidates.
