Join our dedicated Asset Management team as a GIS Coordinator, playing a pivotal role in maintaining spatial data and delivering spatial solutions to project delivery and operations.
We are seeking GIS Coordinators who are passionate about geospatial mapping and data governance.This exciting position reports to the GIS Supervisor based in Jandakot, Western Australia.
The position will lead a small team of GIS analysts and interact with multiple teams within the business.
This role also involves development of ESRI Portal and amendments to VertiGIS Studio for ATCO's internal and external mapping requirements.We embrace flexible work practices, and everyone is welcome, with ongoing career development support at ATCO.What you will contribute to:Continuous improvement to ATCO's Enterprise GIS such as web mapping and administration of Portal.Ensures robust change management and quality assurance processes and systems are in place to maintain the integrity of all Geospatial Information related to growth, maintenance, and operations of the gas distribution network.Provides high-level technical advice on matters associated with Geospatial Information and including associated systems, standards, and procedures.Updates mains and services locations, functional locations, meter numbers, land boundary information, address information and other information related to gas distribution assets.Liaises with the various business units to ensure team resources are included in relevant project plans to deliver network design solutions.What We Appreciate About You:Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in the planning and allocation of team resources.Extensive GIS expertise, technical drawing and drafting experience and a strong knowledge of industry design standards.Excellent PC skills and experience using Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).Knowledge in ArcGIS Pro Utility model and other applications like MicroStation is desirable.Experience in development of specifications, procedures, and work instructions for geospatial systems.Excellent time management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities.Qualification or experience in Geography, Data Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Surveying.Knowledge of GIS programming logic (Python), SDE maintenance and structure.What You Bring Beyond Technical Skills:Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.Inquisitiveness and a desire to make a positive impact on your community.Enjoy collaborative teamwork environment and engaging with other teams.Emotional intelligence applied to interactions with others.Tech-savvy with a focus on utilising technology for efficient work.What We Offer at ATCO:A diverse, inclusive, and supportive team culture that encourages you to lead and achieve.We prioritise flexibility, allowing you to balance work, personal, and family commitments.Various employee benefits such as corporate discounts, and salary sacrifice options, including novated leasing.A learning culture with ongoing development and career opportunities that provide a purpose-driven career.ATCO fosters an inclusive workplace culture where everyone is treated fairly and respectfully.
