The Role Genus Infrastructure is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join the team in Tasmania on a Full-time basis. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for providing contract administration to our Major Transmission Line Projects in Hobart, Tasmania.
Position Requirements Minimum qualifications in contracts or business law. Project management or Quantity Surveying qualifications will be viewed favorably.Minimum 3 years in a commercial or contract management role, preferably delivering energy projects in a design and construct environment;Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.Strong attention to detail.Excellent time management, organisational and presentation/finishing skills.Valid Driver's Licence - "C" Class.High level customer relationship management and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high level of accuracy.Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, schedule and plan.Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.Internet and PC proficiency with advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook Skills.Demonstrated level of analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to listen actively and retain information accurately.Demonstrated level of commercial insight.Experience in commercial negotiation.Demonstrated understanding of the AS4000 suite of contracts.Knowledge and application of Australian standards and legislation concerning quality management, occupational safety and health management, risk management, environmental protection, construction, and security of payments.Key responsibilities include but not limited to Provide commercial and contracts advice to the project team.Assist project teams with formulation and drafting of Site Instructions, Variations and claims under Contract (both head- and subcontract).Review, manage and provide detailed assessment of all subcontractor variation and payment claims.Ensure all upstream claims are administered in a timely manner so to ensure contractual entitlement, as well as compliance with internal policy and procedure is maintained throughout.Attend weekly project management meetings, so to facilitate thorough change management throughout project delivery.Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.Review Contract performance, identify risks, develop, and implement practical solutions so to mitigate issues impacting to Contract performance.The Benefits The successful candidate will benefit from permanent employment, a competitive remuneration package, large pipeline of upcoming project work with potential to grow in the position, and access to our Employee Assistance Program.
