Care to join the team?
GenesisCare is currently recruiting for an experienced Employee & Industrial Relations professional for a new vacancy within our national Employee & Industrial Relations team.
The key focus of the role is to provide pragmatic and commercial advice, guidance, and recommendations to the People & Culture function and wider business, as well as to lead and contribute to specific employee and industrial relations projects and initiatives, including enterprise bargaining, using expert knowledge in employee and industrial relations to drive best practice.
This is an individual contributor role; however, the successful candidate will have the scope to work autonomously and independently lead their assigned projects and initiatives, as well as any case management matters, as the subject matter expert.
The role is a full-time position, and we are open to candidates based in either Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Employee & Industrial Relations, you will be required to provide advice and support across the full range of workplace relations matters at GenesisCare, ensuring recommendations and solutions are lawful and effectively balance risk and commercial considerations to drive appropriate outcomes.
More specifically, you will:
Partner with People & Culture and business stakeholders to define and continuously improve case management approaches and build capability in these areas, including by providing coaching and training as required.
Act as a subject matter expert for business stakeholders in all aspects of enterprise bargaining and lead the end-to-end negotiation of enterprise agreements.
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge and comprehensive understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements, and internal and external trends, to effectively influence stakeholder decision-making, mitigate legal and reputational risk, and ensure a contemporary and fit-for-purpose approach to employee and industrial relations activity and initiatives.
Act as the escalation point for the People & Culture team and business stakeholders on complex issues, including the interpretation of industrial instruments and application of terms and conditions of employment, as well as complex case management and employment disputes and claims.
Lead and contribute to the development and maintenance of an appropriate suite of resources, templates, and frameworks to be used by People & Culture and business stakeholders, such as people policies and standard form contracts of employment.
About you:
We are interested in candidates with:
A minimum of 6 years' experience in a role dedicated to providing subject matter expertise in employee and industrial relations.
Demonstrated experience with enterprise bargaining, including leading the end-to-end negotiation and implementation of enterprise agreements.
Experience with complex case management across a wide range of workplace relations matters, including the management and resolution of employment disputes and claims, as well as advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other industrial tribunals.
Proven ability to manage multiple, complex pieces of work in a fast-paced and high-capacity environment with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Highly developed ability to collaborate and build strong stakeholder relationships and promote high levels of accountability.
The ability to consistently exhibit high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
