Genesis Minerals are currently seeking an Environmental Advisor to join our Health, Safety and Environment team. This is a permanent opportunity, working an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster or similar, based at our Laverton Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor, you will provide specialist environmental support and services to Laverton Operations consistent with minimizing risk to the environment and in a manner that complies with environmental legislation and license conditions and with the Company's ASPIRE set of vision and values.
The Opportunity: Providing support to the Senior Environmental Advisor in the development, communication and effective implementation of the Environmental components of the Company's Environment Management System across the Operations. Providing guidance to the Operations Teams to meet internal and external environmental compliance obligations. Contributing to ensuring the effective operation of the Company's Environment Management System across the Operations and identifying and recommending business improvements. Contributing to the collection, storage and interpretation of reliable environmental data and records, including maintaining a compliance register identifying prescribed statutory accountabilities and the site personnel with those primary accountabilities. Assisting in providing timely, accurate and relevant environmental management-related services and support (e.g., advice, environmental training and inductions, reviews, reports, and contribution to activities such as environmental risk assessments, incident investigations, and water, land management, rehabilitation, and flora and fauna management strategies) to the site managers. Carrying out workplace environmental compliance inspections and providing coaching and instruction to employees and contractors through the Visual Leadership System. Ensuring timely, accurate reporting (internal/external) to the Environmental Superintendent and other relevant internal and external parties. Demonstrated relevant experience, with practical understanding of environmental regulatory environments, best practices, and general environmental systems and procedures.
