The Polaris Marine Group is currently seeking a skilled Cook / General Purpose Hand to join our esteemed team for operations in the Bass Strait aboard the vessel John Duigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in general onboard tasks as well as preparing meals for the crew.
Position: Cook / General Purpose Hand
Location: Operations in Bass Strait aboard the vessel John Duigan
Employment Type: Permanent position on a 4-week on / off roster
Qualifications: Must have a minimum General Purpose Hand (GPH) Marine qualification Experience as a commercial cook (preferred) Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals for the crew following dietary requirements and safety standards. Assist in general onboard tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, and cargo handling. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. Collaborate effectively with the onboard team to ensure smooth operations. Requirements: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work on a 4-week on / off roster.
