75% of billables (competitive!) and set your own rates!

Key Responsibilities
Provide general psychiatric services to assess and treat a wide range of clinical presentations for patients under various referral streams including Medicare, NDIS, Work Cover, and private patients. Consult with patients across the lifespan (16-18yrs - over 65yrs), so the work is interesting and varied.
Collaborate on patient care with a large team of referring GPs and the onsite clinical team of Psychologists, Counsellors, and existing Consultant Psychiatrist. Be supported by a clinical team that can deliver thorough clinical assessment to support diagnosis and thus support management of your patients' mental health issues, or package your own assessment and diagnostic services. Make recommendations and provide reports where needed.
Our operating hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm approx, seeing 9 patients per day. The role is 1 day minimum and offers flexibility to meet your work/life needs. Part of the role can be worked from home, providing telehealth once the client load is established. Transition into the role with a thorough onboarding process, training in practice management software, and support with how to operate efficiently if the private practice setting is new to you.
Be supported by a strong administrative team and well-established procedures so you can focus on your patients. We are already familiar with psychiatrist billing!

Minimum Requirements:
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
Current AHPRA and Medicare registration
Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working as a psychiatrist
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
SIRA accreditation
Full working rights in Australia
Police Check within the last 12 months
Eligibility for NDIS worker screening check
Trading as a Pty Ltd company (if wanting to contract; room rental options also available).

Established for over 12 years with a long-standing clinical team of Psychologists, Counsellors, and Consultant Psychiatrist, the practice accepts many referrals daily, with strong working relationships with local GPs and other referring organizations. We pride ourselves on individually tailored and authentic assessment and therapy services.
