Integrated Mental Health (iMH) is the shared vision of Aurora Healthcare and Amplar Health to introduce a new model of private mental health care.
With 58 inpatient beds, day patient programs, and a private practice, Nundah Private Hospital is iMH's third hospital to open, following the success of Deakin Private Hospital (Canberra) and Hirondelle Private Hospital (Sydney).
Situated in Nundah Brisbane, Nundah Private Hospital will adopt iMH's innovative mental health model, offering in-hospital care alongside expanded support services within home and community settings.
This new model of care is psychiatrist-led and patient-centred, with flexible care pathways to support greater access and choice in treatment options and settings.
Nundah Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for General Practitioner(s) to join our growing team, in preparation for the hospital opening in January 2025.
General Practitioners are required to satisfy health fund and clinical indicator requirements to conduct medical reviews (includes pathology and 'fit to exercise') for inpatients within 24 hours of admittance.
Following the initial review, other reviews may be required such as metabolic assessment and TMS suitability.
We will have a contracted pathology provider onsite each weekday morning, and there is a medical imaging facility next door.
You will be credentialed at Nundah Private Hospital and work as a contractor, receiving an hourly rate.
It is anticipated that initially this role will require minimal hours; however, this will increase as our inpatient admissions grow.
As one of our General Practitioners, you can flexibly work across the week at different times/sessions depending on your availability.
