This Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisation is currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within their Health and Wellbeing Services division. This organisation is committed to providing holistic health care to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Gold Coast & surrounding communities. They have clinics located at Bilinga, Miami, Coomera.
About the Role:
They are looking for a motivated General Practitioner who is dedicated to and passionate about providing high-quality, culturally sound health care within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. As a key member of the team, you will be working closely with the clinical team as well as providing a comprehensive client experience. You will play an integral role in ensuring clinical care is in line with national standards and fostering a culture focused on providing comprehensive patient-focused service. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) based at the Miami clinic; however, part-time applications will also be considered. Current permanent vacancies also exist at our Coomera and Bilinga clinics.
Key Responsibilities: Provide quality clinical services to our clients in line with best practice standards.Demonstrate commitment to the process of continuous quality improvement as an integrated aspect of service development and delivery.Liaise with Clinical Nurse and/or Aboriginal Health Worker to ensure the clients' experience is seamless.Strong knowledge and ability to optimise referral pathways to specialist and allied health services for clients.Work closely with the Practice Manager and service team to anticipate and identify opportunities for expanding access to these services for clients.About the Health Service: Maximum 14 patient appointments per day.General appointment time of 30 minutes per patient.Allocated administration time during the workday.Set start and finish times daily (8.30-16:30).Dedicated 30 minute lunch break.Professional Development included within work hours.About You:
Essentials:
Vocational Registration.Unconditional AHPRA registration.Sound understanding of systems and processes required to sustain a high standard of clinical quality and safety.Committed to the principles and practice of Aboriginal Community Control, and to improving the long-term health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families & communities.Effective communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.Ability to problem solve.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Ability to work autonomously.Desirable, but not mandatory:
