The Hospital: The Mental Health and Drug Service provides specialist services to the region for all age groups.
Our client provides assessment, counselling and referral and support to people who are experiencing problems as a result of their own, or someone else's alcohol or drug use.
Outreach is provided by each of these teams to surrounding & remote areas.
Clients may present directly (without referral) while referrals are accepted from health professionals and from other relevant parties.

The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care to consumers, families and carers in the region as well as leadership, advice, consultation, liaison and support to health care professionals, other providers and agencies.
The position entails rural, remote and very remote practice with a strong focus on Aboriginal health and wellbeing, use of telehealth and travelling to visit consumers in their communities.
