Purpose: to provide a comprehensive administration and coordination service to the office to ensure its smooth day to day operations. We work with a broad range of public, private, academic and voluntary sector organisations to enhance people's understanding of the world.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced General Office and Membership Officer to coordinate and support our ongoing contact with our members as well as providing a comprehensive administration and coordination service to our small team and office. The role is office-based at our headquarters in Perth. Applications are invited from hard-working and enthusiastic individuals seeking a challenging, fast-paced and varied role.
We need a highly-motivated individual who has experience of using contact management systems to process membership applications and renewals and coordinate communications. The post holder will also be expected to provide a full range of office management duties to support a small team and the day-to-day running of our office, including liaising with our bookkeeper.
You should possess a high level of initiative and organisational aptitude, excellent communication skills and computer literacy, a willingness to learn, an ability to deal calmly with the unexpected, a personable manner, and experience of handling conflicting pressures whilst remaining positive. Ideally you would also have some experience of minute taking and diary management. Some experience of working for a charity would be helpful, as would a good sense of humour.
