General Music Teacher – Elementary

Position Details REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Valid K-12 Michigan Teaching Certificate (JX endorsement).Vocal, ukulele, and recorder skills necessary.Ability to work cooperatively with part of a school team.Genuine desire to work with elementary students.Effective communication skills.Appropriate technological background to integrate with instruction.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:The Music teacher will develop and implement a supportive classroom culture using our robust Orff Schulwerk-informed curriculum, based on state and national standards, which makes learning music fun, which inspires children to create music that they feel proud of, and develop a love of music. Haslett teachers practice flexibility, openness, and keen observation to fully engage students and support their joy of learning.
