The Position An excellent opportunity has come up for an experienced General Physician to join the team on a full time appointment for 5 years, with the possibility of an extension(s). Families have plenty of education options, with 5 secondary schools to choose from. The breathtaking natural surroundings provide a playground for those interested in hiking, surfing, diving, cycling, fishing, sailing… The Facility Secondary referral hospital serving over 80,000 people. General Medicine is a blended model of Physicians and Generalists, along with a number of junior medical staff and training registrars providing inpatient and outpatient services. In addition to four general medicine teams, local teams include medical oncology with a soon-to-open radiation oncology centre, a geriatrician-led subacute care service and a leading palliative care service. A high dependency unit is managed by rotating specialists.
