Job DescriptionAbout this opportunity The General Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimising the entire supply chain process within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective management of supply chain operations, including logistics, sales and operations planning (S&OP), supplier relations, capacity planning, and procurement.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operationsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance supply chain performance.Oversee the selection and management of transportation providers,manage warehouse operations andImplement logistics optimization techniques to reduce costs and improve service levels.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, production, and finance teams to align supply and demand plans.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and agreements, monitor and evaluate supplier performanceDevelop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proven track record of managing complex supply chain operations and leading cross-functional teams.In-depth understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.Knowledge of logistics, procurement, and capacity planning.Familiarity with S&OP processes and tools.Strong leadership and management skills.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Master's degree or MBA is preferred.Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
