About the role
As General Manager Southern Region you will be responsible for setting the overall direction, ensuring all departments are aligned with AWX goals, and driving continuous improvement across all areas of the business. You will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies that enhance our market position, improve stakeholder satisfaction, and drive profitability. Your role will involve managing team and branch budgets, optimising resources, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will also be responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment, developing talent within the organisation, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities Manage forecasts to ensure GP Targets and results are achieved.Ensure that relevant information and reports are provided to the appropriate internal team members.With CEO, plan business activities to meet budget expectations and current staff performance.Prepare and implement annual business plans.Manage business objectives and branch KPI's.Oversee Debtor Management.Identify and engage with potential and current clients in the industry, building long lasting relationships by delivering exceptional recruitment solutions.Generate revenue from new business in line with set budget.Develop and implement sales strategy plan.Coach, develop and mentor staff to enhance their skills and performance.Identify and monitor staff training and development needs to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed and achieve maximum productivity.Manage succession planning of staff.Foster a positive and productive work environment including conducting regular team meetings and performance reviews.Leadership in promotion of safety culture in accordance with AWX's Safety Standards by ensuring that work activities and advice adheres to all obligations under AWX's Environment Policy, the Environmental Protection Act, Safety and Health Policy, other relevant environmental legislation and the Workplace Health and Safety Act.What you bring
