Lead the strategic risk, compliance, and assurance functions at MACS during an exciting period of transformation.
Drive enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and cultural change by embedding robust frameworks and fostering risk awareness.
Collaborate with senior leaders, build high-performing teams, and influence risk-based decision-making to shape the future of Catholic education.
This role would suit a candidate over 10 years of senior leadership experience in risk management, compliance, or assurance within complex organizations.
They'll possess expertise in ISO 31000 and AS 37301, with a postgraduate qualification in risk, business, or law and professional accreditation.
Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and data analytics skills are essential, along with the ability to embed risk practices and drive cultural change during transformation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead and maintain MACS's Enterprise Risk Management Framework to embed effective risk practices across the organization.Develop and monitor a risk management system ensuring alignment with MACS objectives and compliance with legislation.Build strong relationships with stakeholders to embed mature risk-based decision-making.Support the Child Safety and Risk Management Committee by providing reports and analysis to monitor organizational risk.Design and deliver risk training to ensure staff can identify, manage, and report risks effectively.Partner with internal auditors to develop and execute a risk-aligned internal audit plan.Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.ABOUT YOU Over 10 years of senior leadership experience in risk management, compliance, or assurance within complex organizations.Expertise in enterprise risk frameworks, including ISO 31000 and AS 37301, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.Postgraduate qualifications in risk, business, or law, with professional accreditation (e.g., RMIA or Australian Compliance Institute).Proven leadership skills with a track record of inspiring high-performing teams and driving cultural change.Advanced stakeholder engagement capabilities, influencing decision-making across executive teams, Boards, and diverse organizational levels.Strong proficiency in data analytics and information management to support strategic decision-making.Demonstrated success in navigating dynamic environments, balancing autonomy and collaboration to deliver impactful results during organizational transformation.HOW TO APPLY Please refer to the position description for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.
