About the team The AIS Performance Group leads the design and delivery of innovative evidence-based systems, programs, services, and support that unites and enables the high performance system to support athletes to Win Well.
The Performance Systems and Paralympic Partnerships Branch leads the strategic engagement for the ASC's key High Performance (HP) system partners and has a critical project leadership role in delivering the ASC-led Australia's High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy (Win Well Strategy), focusing on para-specific factors and system initiatives at a National level.
About the role Reporting to the AIS Director, the General Manager of Performance Systems and Paralympic Partnerships leads the strategic engagement for the ASC's key HP system partners and has a critical project leadership role in delivering the Win Well Strategy.
About you Key to success in this role will be understanding the ASC Strategic Vision to 2034 and Australia's High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy, and supporting the workforce to execute goals seamlessly. Required capabilities include:
Demonstrated extensive understanding of the roles, responsibilities, opportunities, and challenges of the ASC, PA, and the broader HP sport system.Ability to perform thorough analysis of issues and contribute to complex policy formulation.Ability to establish and manage key strategic relationships, with advanced negotiation and influencing skills.Demonstrated capacity to successfully lead, manage, and deliver complex projects.Proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide high-level strategic, professional, and technical advice across various disciplines.Demonstrated experience working effectively with senior executives from various levels of government and non-government organisations.Effective management of large project budgets.Effective management of a large, decentralised workforce.This position is offered as a fixed term position until 31 December 2028.
