Rainmaker is a leading production company specializing in live sport broadcasting and content creation.
We are looking for a General Manager of Operations to work within this television division.
About the role and you:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager of Operations to oversee and optimize all operational activities, manage staff, and manage budgets within our Rainmaker team.
The GM will build a great culture, ensure that daily operations are seamless, cost-effective, minimize risk, and are aligned with company goals.
This role will involve overseeing broadcast operations, staff resourcing, risk management, content creation, scheduling, technical management, budgeting, and collaboration with multiple departments within SEN.
Some key aspects of the role include but are not limited to:
Lead and manage the operations team to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day production.Oversee the scheduling and execution of all staff resourcing including live broadcasts, studio, and content operations.Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure optimal quality of broadcasts and content creation and distribution.Develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for operational improvements and growth.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners.Serve as the liaison between the SEN Sales team and Rainmaker, assisting in the delivery of production objectives.Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including KPIs, budgets, and strategic goals. Qualifications: Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams effectively.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of broadcasting systems and operational best practices.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
