Position Overview: The General Manager of Operations will provide strategic leadership and direction for the efficient and compassionate operation of our in-home aged care provider service. This role encompasses managing staff, ensuring client-centred care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive and supportive environment for both clients and employees. Responsibilities: Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our in-home aged care service, including the end-to-end delivery of HCP, CHSP and HACC-PYP. Manage, develop, and implement operational policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure client satisfaction whilst adhering to Government guidelines. Ensure the highest standard of care for clients, promoting their safety, independence, well-being, and dignity. Collaborate with medical professionals and care teams to create individualised care plans. Staff Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor staff members to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with aged care regulations and accreditation standards, ensuring full compliance. Lead efforts to prepare for audits and assessments. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided, implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Gather and analyse data to identify areas for enhancement and implement best business practices. Work with the CEO and Finance to develop and manage the approved budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve financial sustainability. Control costs while maintaining the quality of care and services. Client and Carer Communication: Establish open and transparent communication channels with clients and carers. Address concerns, feedback, and inquiries in a compassionate and timely manner. Qualifications: Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field. Proven leadership experience in managing aged care facilities or in-home services organisation or a healthcare organisation. Strong knowledge of aged care regulations, compliance, accreditation, and Aged Care Standards. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
