We do this through health system improvement programs, and by commissioning services to address local health needs via our regional commissioning role.

We currently have a full-time (1.0FTE) career opportunity available as the General Manager Operations and Mental Health. This role is an integral part of a collegiate and committed leadership team, providing sound operational guidance to support the success of the organisation. The role leads a diverse team and directly reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and on occasion, fulfils Acting COO duties and responsibilities.
Having oversight of the Operations Business Unit within Gippsland PHN, the role also takes a lead in Primary Mental Health Care planning, design, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Key to success within the role are skills and expertise in business development and use of insights and data to identify and drive innovation opportunities.
This position ensures standards and practices are applied in line with Gippsland PHN's Clinical Governance Framework and Performance & Monitoring Governance Framework, and provides functional supervision and guidance to the Operations Managers, ensuring the operations teams align with, and support, the organisational goals of Gippsland PHN and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
The Operations Business Unit consists of the Communications, Digital, Data and Insights, Program Delivery, and Primary Care Response teams; and is responsible for activities relating to:
health needs assessment and population health planning utilising evidence, data, and insights;digital enablement for connected models of care, and improving digital literacy of both health professionals and consumers;primary care emergency preparedness and response;primary care quality improvement activities; andcontract management of commissioned service providers.We are looking for an astute, agile, dynamic, outcomes-focused team member. Use your skills to complete work packages including but not limited to:
