About the opportunity
We are transforming, moving to a cloud first model, modernising and simplifying and you can be part of that! Join us as the Practice Lead (that's what this role is known as internally) to head up our Account Processing team, reporting to our CIO and based in our Technology & Transformation Division. At a senior strategic level, you will lead the teams to plan, build and run our Payments, Cards, Wealth Management, Ledger, Product Pricing & Commissions core systems.

In this role you'll get to…
Lead the team to design, build and deliver all transformation and change initiatives as well as supporting the teams to keep the systems running.
Champion organisation transformation objectives and ensure the buy-in of key business stakeholders.
Develop and foster successful relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners to enable effective execution of initiatives using an enterprise lens.
Be accountable for managing the day to day of the team including financial management of the people and technology and provide sound governance and reporting.
Identify risks / issues and ensure appropriate management, mitigation and escalation.
What you'll bring to the role
You'll have previous experience in a similar role with ownership of core accounting processing systems in banking. With the ability to lead large teams and represent technology transformation programs.
To be successful in the role you will have:
A broad set of organisational experience with a view to engage, challenge and support.
The experience to be a supportive leader who understands the complexities involved in this space so you can provide necessary support to your team for them to deliver and thrive.
The capability and confidence to engage, influence and collaborate with Senior Leaders and Executives across the enterprise, to build trusted and enduring relationships, contributing to performance outcomes and value realisation.
A strategic customer focused lens with the ability to adapt in a regulated and changing environment.
Extensive experience interpreting risk and compliance requirements and how they inform strategies, business planning and business decisions.
Industry awareness in relation to advancements in core banking.
