General Manager Mine Closure and Environmental Services As the General Manager Mine Closure and Environmental Services, you will lead and manage the operations, resources, and staff of the Mine Closure and Environmental Services Branch. This includes the implementation and engagement of regulatory reform, improving management approaches, and providing high-level technical advice to the department's executive, minerals and energy sector, as well as general public and industry organizations in relation to various legislative acts.
This role also involves developing and managing internal governance measures to ensure compliance with reporting standards, protocols, and risk management. You will manage and contribute to the division's community engagement activities, strategic, and promotional opportunities, liaise with internal and external customers, improve services and efficiencies within the Branch, and ensure appropriate skills and expertise are available within the Branch to ensure optimum performance and multi-skilling of staff linked to the workforce plan and divisional requirements.
