General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) We're looking for a General Manager at Honorbread , a growing, multisite artisan bakery with 50 employees.
As General Manager, you'll become the right-hand person to the Founders, stepping into a leadership role to run the day-to-day operations of the bakery.
You'll be trusted with carrying on the vision of Honorbread while collaborating closely with the team to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality operations across the board.
What You'll Be Doing: Overseeing production, wholesale, and retail operations across multiple locations.
Collaborating with the Head Baker to ensure every loaf and pastry meets our high standards.
Setting key performance goals to guide the bakery's success.
Hiring key personnel and overseeing training programs to maintain a strong, capable team.
Evaluating and deciding upon investments in equipment, infrastructure, and people to drive growth.
Reporting key results to senior executives and keeping everyone aligned with our goals.
Reviewing financial statements, sales, and other performance data to measure productivity and progress.
Identifying areas needing cost reduction or process improvement and implementing solutions.
Directing sales, marketing, and customer service activities to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
Scheduling staff, optimizing productivity, and upholding safety protocols for a secure working environment.
Driving improvements to streamline operations , minimize waste, and enhance quality.
Using your tech-savvy skills to manage business software for inventory, scheduling, and more.
Supporting and working alongside the Founders as Honorbread transitions into an Employee Ownership Trust —helping shape the future of the bakery and its people.
What We're Looking For: A Bachelor's degree in Business Commerce , Economics , or an MBA .
Extensive experience in managing teams and business operations, ideally in a wholesale and retail environment (bonus if you have food industry experience).
A problem solver who thrives in high-energy, fast-paced environments where no two days are the same.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build great relationships and inspire teams.
Tech-savvy, with experience in food business software and the ability to juggle the big picture while managing small details.
